Once again…again…again… back with another Saturday Morning Samples! This time around we have a song that I actually sampled myself a LOOOOOONG time ago, before I was properly able to make this into the banger it should have been. For some reason, I can’t redo beats properly. So I will pass it along to you guys. The track is from a little known Soul artist named Virgil Griffin, the track is “A Forgotten Lover”. Someone needs to chop this crazy and back it up with some Hi Fi sounds and it could be a classic…

I suffer from the same deficiency. Once I’ve sampled a song, I can’t seem to revisit it and chop it differently. It’s only worked for me a few times, but it was after a few years of ignoring the original beat and forgetting I even had the samples.

This is a good choice to chop, a real classic. It’s been years since I heard “A Forgotten Love” by Virgil Griffin. He has incredible soul and this is one of his hottest pieces. It’s a heartbreaking song with a deep level of heart and soul, and could definitely come out amazing with some play.
